Learning and Engagement Manager
Your role in the JoJo story:
Do you dream of a role where you can lead learning, engagement and culture-related activity across a business? Reporting into the Head of People, the Learning and Engagement Manager designs and delivers learning and development approaches that build capability, support leadership effectiveness and reinforce organisational values.
The role owns employee engagement, wellbeing and EDI activity, ensuring these areas are coordinated, purposeful and aligned with business priorities. The Learning and Engagement Manager also has responsibility for employee communications and recognition activity, supporting the effective communication of people initiatives and cultural programmes.
The role will be supported by the Learning and Engagement Assistant.

Learning & Development
Work with the JoJo leadership team to develop a Learning and Development strategy aligned with business and people priorities.
Lead the design and delivery of learning and development activity across the business, including capability building, leadership development and role-specific learning.
Lead the design and continuous improvement of JoJo’s induction and onboarding framework, ensuring it reflects JoJo’s values, culture and learning priorities.
Develop and deliver workshops, learning interventions and programmes aligned to organisational values and behaviours.
Ensure appropriate compliance and mandatory training is in place and delivered effectively.
Work closely with leaders to identify learning needs and translate these into practical development plans aligned with business priorities.
Evaluate the effectiveness of learning activity and adapt approaches based on feedback and outcomes.
Use learning participation, feedback and outcome data to evaluate the effectiveness of learning activity and inform continuous improvement.
Learning Platforms, Apprenticeships & Early Careers
Provide strategic oversight of learning platforms, ensuring learning content and resources support capability building and engagement priorities.
Set direction for apprenticeship and early career learning activity, ensuring programmes support development, inclusion and future capability needs.
Review insight and feedback on learning participation and outcomes to inform continuous improvement.
Leadership & Capability Building
Support leaders and managers to build people management capability through targeted learning and development activity.
Partner with the People Business Partner to align learning activity with performance, succession and workforce planning priorities.
Contribute to the development of leadership capability in support of current and future organisational needs.
Engagement, Wellbeing & EDI
Lead and champion the organisation’s approach to employee engagement, wellbeing and EDI, ensuring activity is joined up and aligned with People priorities.
Own the design, delivery and analysis of employee engagement surveys, including the communication of outcomes and key themes.
Support leaders and People colleagues to translate engagement survey insight into meaningful and practical actions.
Support leaders to embed inclusive practices and promote wellbeing within their teams.
Employee Communications & Recognition
Own clear, consistent and engaging employee communications relating to People initiatives, learning activity and cultural programmes.
Lead employee recognition activity, ensuring it reflects organisational values and reinforces positive behaviours.
.Skills that make you shine:
Proven experience in leading learning, engagement or organisational development activity at a strategic level.
Experience of developing and driving an L&D & engagement strategy.
Experience designing and delivering learning and development programmes, including leadership development.
Strong understanding of engagement, wellbeing and EDI principles and practices.
Ability to translate business needs into practical learning and engagement solutions.
Strong facilitation skills, with experience leading workshops
Strong stakeholder management experience
Confident communicator, with experience and partnering with senior leaders and stakeholders.
Awareness of using digital tools (e.g. Canva, Articulate Rise, LMS platforms)
Experience line managing and developing team members.
Additional Requirements
Ability to work regularly from the London office to provide visible, on-site People support.
Willingness to travel to stores or other locations as required.
